Just a glitch. And Nintendo usually puts Nintendo related items in Animal Crossing.
The duplication glitch was a bug in the game where you would put an item, usually an expensive one like the Switch, onto a cardboard box. While another player spins the box, you grab the item, and a copy goes into your inventory while the original remains on the box.
Seriously, HOW do you clap with one paw? And why exactly would you clap while holding a mug?

Unless that’s how Riley talks, her speech balloon in the first panel should read, “Has either of you seen Kade?” (When used as a pronoun, ‘either’ is a singular subject.)
But that doesn’t make sense, jrh150482. Change it to a different question to a singular person, “Have you seen Kade?”. Now if it was referring to a 3rd person, indirectly, “Rick, has Nichole seen Kade?”
Except that ‘you’ isn’t the subject of ‘Has either of you…?’; ‘either’ is. And ‘either’ is a singular subject, so a singular verb is required.
That’s perfectly acceptable and shows authentic dialogue. Real people don’t speak in proper english and so neither should dialogue use proper english. Real people, myself included, definitely do say “have either of you” when addressing a question to 2 people.
That clapping with one paw always does seem a little odd. But I really love that Tim drew Freya here. She has been my #1 villager since New Leaf. She was the first to give me medicine after a bee attack and the first to make an unplanned visit to my house while I was inside.
So this “only using left hand” thing they are doing is a thing in this game? Why their left hands? Why is duplicating things with a cardboard box something people do? Who is Freya?
Looking at the raccoon dude, it seems that he’s clapping hands (yet again, left hands) with someone invisible. Somehow I think Kade is not the one who is invisible.
I feel like I’m Riley in this situation. I’ve not bought or researched this game everyone is obsessed with, and I have no idea what’s going on.
