As for the comic, I’m usually with family on weekends anyway, so the chances are that I’m watching the Super Bowl. Otherwise I would never voluntarily accept an invitation to watch football. Unless food is involved.
My family had to remind me last weekend that the Superbowl’s coming up. By the time I saw this strip, I had already forgotten about it. That’s how important the Superbowl is to me.
Oh, sportsball. My what a robust bunch of fellows…which colour are we cheering for? 🙂 Now, if you want racing. Don’t even think of talking down Suzuki, they were down on power and STILL competitive their first year back in motogp. Oh and NO Subaru or Pugeot will ever equal the lancia stratos.
I’m actually surprised that that was Kade’s thoughts about what they were going to. As for me, I don’t care for sports in general, unless it’s NFL Blitz 2001. Played a more recent one on the Gamecube a few years back, not anywhere near as fun.
Sunday will probably be really busy at work, too, what with getting the food ready for what will likely be a big Super Bowl party. Thankfully, I have Sunday off!
You know, they could just be glad to hang out with friends. There’s things to do at a football party other than watch football. Drink, chain smoke, play cards, complain about the women in your life… actually it sounds like any party that involves my family.
Since I live in the SF Bay Area, SB 50 may be worth watching as it is a milestone and LOTS of festivities. HOWEVER, before and after that, it is meh if your team is not there. You know, I’d waste my time on watching rotten and horrible Norm of the North than watching a SB that is not a milestone.

But the Panthers play the Penguins on Saturday, and the Redwings on Monday. They don’t HAVE a game on Sunday.
